Pub worker stabbed after work

KUALA LUMPUR: Her shift was over and it was time for her to go home.


However, when Noviavah Syahrizal walked out of the pub in Desa Sri Hartamas, where was workin, at the 12.30am on Friday, little did she realise that it would be her last day at work.

The 35-year-old Indonesian who lived in Kepong, was found in a car park with stab wounds to her chest and abdomen.

She was found by passers-by some 20m from the pub.

An ambulance took her to University Malaya Medical Centre, but she died at 4am.

Brickfields police chief Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rahman Ibrahim said following the incident, police have detailed a man to help investigating.

However, Weekend Mail learnt that the 43-year-old man is Novianah's husband, who works as a sales supervisor.

They have been married for three years.

It is also learnt that Novianah worked at a hair salon during the day. Police have ruled out robbery as her cell phone, wallet and cash were still in her handbag, found at the scene.

When asked whether the motive for the murder was jealousy, Abdul Rahman said, "We are still investigating."
